Description
Looking for the ultimate backcountry DIY hunt? A self-guided Alaska Range caribou is your chance to experience the rugged Last Frontier. Fly into a remote gravel bar to a camp already set up for you. Stalk trophy bulls that we have seen during pre-season scouting. Run your hunt and camp how you best see fit. This hunt will be the ultimate test of skill, grit, and self-reliance. Caribou, Black Bear, and Wolf all available. As with all our hunts, we handle all logistics so you can focus on your hunt. This is a fully outfitted DIY hunt. All charter and bush flights (including meat and trophies) are included. All supplies, camps, and food (fresh and freeze dried) are supplied. Hunters will be dropped off in the Alaska Range hunting resident caribou for 10 days with opportunity to kill 1 bull caribou (in velvet), up to 3 black bears, and up 10 wolves. Outfitter will provide tents (either arctic oven type or spike camp backpacking tents) and all meals. This hunt will take place in August when bull caribou are in velvet. Description
Outfitter will provide tents (either spike camp backpacking tents or 12 x 12 artic oven type tents) for hunters. All meals will be provided for this hunt. This is a DIY hunt so hunters must be prepared to butcher, skin, and cape their own animals. Meat care is taken very seriously in Alaska (all meat must be prepared for human consumption) so hunters must be aware of all laws regarding meat care. Hunters must bring all their own hunting gear and optics. Outfitter does suggest high quality binoculars and spotting scopes to locate animals. Full gear list to be provided if requested when booked.
